This is a Welsh Government run scheme which is part funded by the European Social Fund. ReAct II provide a package of support that will help individuals gain new skills, overcome obstacles and improve their chances of returning to work in the shortest time. The funding is available to those who:
- Have become unemployed in the last six months as a result of redundancy.
- Are currently unemployed and have not been in continuous employment for six weeks or more since being made redundant.
- Are under notice of redundancy.
- Are a resident of Wales on the date of issue of notice of redundancy.
Maximum contribution towards Vocational Training: £1,500
Employer Recruitment Support: 16 – 24 hours a week: £1,500 – 25 hours & above: £3,000
Employer Training Support: 50% contribution towards external training up to a maximum of £1,000

Throughout the UK, construction companies linked with CITB are joining a local or national specialist Training Group. There are currently 91 Construction Training Groups stretching all the way from Shetland to Somerset. Being part of a training group means you get access to discounted training which can be organised at local venues, the support of the Group Training Officer from the Training Group to assist with your training needs, networking opportunities at group meetings, and being able to make your voice heard as part of a larger group.
