POLISH SAFETY PASSPORT

Given the high number of non English speaking migrant workers from Poland contracting on major client sites in the UK such as the Power Industry, Steelworks, Petro Chemical for example, concerns are being raised with regard to the level of health & safety training they have undertaken back in Poland particularly in relation to UK Health & Safety Employment Law Legislation.

To address this issue the Client Contractors National Safety Group (CCNSG) in conjunction with the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) have appointed Barry Training Services Ltd (BTS) as one of only two Training Providers in the UK to be accredited for the delivery of the existing two day CCNSG Safety Passport Course in Polish from September 2006, employing a Polish Instructor as well as a Polish Admin.

BTS have long been a Major Training Company in Health & Safety covering the UK as well as other E.U. Member States such as Denmark, France, Holland, Germany & The Republic of Ireland.

BTS Managing Director David Phipps said "We are also able to offer courses such as Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, Lift Truck, Harness and Mobile Elevated Work Platforms in the Polish language with other course programmes in the process of being developed".

The course content is identical to the already successful English CCNSG Safety Passport course and can be delivered at Clients own premises anywhere in Mainland UK as well as other EU Member States subject to suitability and numbers.
